About Edward Timmins TD

Edward was elected as a TD for Wicklow in November 2024 alongside Taoiseach and Fine Gael Leader Simon Harris.

He also advocated for housing target numbers to be given to each county which has now become a reality.

As a TD, Edward has been to the forefront of local campaigns across the Wicklow constituency including the campaign for the new secondary school in Blessington and campaign against the closure of the Herbert Road in Bray. He works tirelessly on behalf of constituents countywide. He has joined and stood with local school secretaries and caretakers on the picket line in their campaign for pension parity.

Forging strong partnerships on your behalf, Deputy Timmins regularly meets with the NTA to discuss Wicklow’s transport needs including the need for more buses, improved Local Link services, increased train capacity and the DART extension to Wicklow Town. He has met business organisations including the Irish Stock Exchange (Euronext Dublin), organisations who advocate for older people including ALONE, along with local youth organisations and the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI). He has also met with disability organisations including KARE and Sunbeam House Services and is committed to securing more employment opportunities for those with disabilities.
